This book is based on the true story of Duke Hoyt, an elderly Golden Retriever with quirky behavior who was adopted by an incredibly patient family. While carefully choosing, “stealing,” and guarding dozens of very random objects each day from around the house, Duke has also stolen millions of hearts around the world. Although his puzzling ways may never be completely understood, this story explores the depths of a dog’s feelings, and just what can happen with a little bit of patience and unconditional love.
